Weekly stone--014--Qilian Mountains

The Qilian Mountains is a northern outlier of the Kunlun Mountains, forming the border between the Qinghai and the Gansu provinces of northern China. It¡¯s a sacred place which attracts many explores including Marco Polo, the renowned one famous for his book ¡°The Travels of Marco Polo¡±

This is a Fengli stone from Xinjiang province. The color of gray and the unique formation makes it very much resemble the majestic Qilian Mountain with ranges going up and down. The Ming-style wooden base intensified its sublimity.
